How to Change Project Priorities

PLANNING tab

The system allows you to prioritize projects within each plan. To review the current project priorities, select the Prioritize option on the plan's home screen:

Move a Project Up in Priority

To move a project one step up in priority (e.g., from #4 to #5), select the Up option:

Move a Project Down in Priority

To move a project one step down in priority (e.g., from #5 to #4), select the Down option:

Move a Project to Top Priority

To move a project to the #1 priority, select the First option:

Move a Project to Last Priority

To move a project to the last priority in the list, select the Last option:

Reordering Project Priorities

You can reorder project priorities by manually assigning a priority to each project.

  1. Update the priority field for each project with a new priority number.
  2. Select the Reorder option.

Note: if you order two projects with the same priority, the system will automatically lower the priority number to not have duplicates.

Swap Priorities

You can swap two project priorities. This will reprioritize two projects so they take the place of each other in the priority list (e.g., #7 becomes #11 and #11 becomes #7).

  1. Update the priority number for the project you want to swap. For example, if you want to swap #7 with #11, enter "11" in the priority field for #7.
  2. Select the Swap option.

Previous Priority Order Label

As you update priorities, the system keeps track of the project's previous priority. This will help you confirm that project priorities have been updated. In the following example, #3 was moved down and #4 was moved up. This displays the previous priority numbers for each project:
